Heavily pregnant Itto suddenly finds herself on her own when an otherworldly weather phenomenon disrupts the status quo, setting off an existential crisis of faith. Alaoui’s genre-bending critique of social class structures is an existential search for meaning in the supernatural. She leaves much up to the imagination, and the wondrous score, in this emancipating journey through the Atlas mountains.
